Folio decided it was high time to sync up the app's look with the overall brand vibe. My job? Figure out how to blend the fresh UI colour scheme seamlessly, making it a crowd-pleaser for both the suit-and-tie crowd and the tech-savvy audiences. To keep it all tied together, maintaining a smooth brand aesthetic.
First up was to dive into the current branding and the refreshed new UI colours. What stays, what goes? We were on a mission to merge the gems and toss out the dead weight.
Out with the old coral and purple. We kept the yellow for that extra zing and spiced up the green. Deeper tones make everything pop, especially when mixed with Folio's signature blue. We stripped down the colour palette, kept it sleek, and made the app the rockstar.
Trust and professionalism? Absolutely, that's the vibe we aimed for. Fonts were next on the hit list, deciding to go back to the original Folio font, Lato, for a more streamlined brand style.
To showcase the new look, I created an Instagram grid, sticking to a calming palette of dark grey and shades of blue, revealing all the cool new features.
We didn't stop there – the App and Google Play Store screenshots got an update too. And social banners? We nailed those too, bringing the entire customer journey under one aesthetic roof.
